As Expected, Trump Backpedaling On Gun Stance

I warned the National Rifle Association that they can’t Trust Republican candidate Donald Trump and it looks like I have been proven right.

Only three days after Trump got the thumbs up from the NRA, he has started to backpedal away from “pro-gun stance.” During the rally in Kentucky, May 20, Trump said that he would get rid of gun-free zones in schools.

"My first day, it gets signed, okay? My first day. There's no more gun-free zones,” he said in his speech.

Well, if he gets him elected (that is a huuuge “if”… a fabulous “if”… really just a tremendous “if”) it is going to be a long day as he flip-flops back and forth on this issue (again think of his comb-over on a windy day).

Fast-forward three days after the NRA convention and the Donald said May 23 in an interview with CNN that gun-free zones would be only eliminated in “some cases.”

Trump toned down his crazy gun rhetoric after Hillary Clinton, the front-running Democratic presidential nominee, painted a picture of gun-toting school children.

In his great fashion to walk on both sides of the fence, Trump said: "I don't want to have guns in classrooms, although in some cases, teachers should have guns in classrooms, frankly.”

I hate to say this as I really dislike the NRA and the stupid policies that they stand for but they probably should have stayed out of this year’s presidential debate and focused on getting specific Republican candidates elected in the November general election.

If I had to choose between a flip-flopping nitwit and nothing, my money, every time would be on nothing. I would rather keep my powder dry and support someone who actually believes in my crazy cause.

The NRA shouldn’t be surprised by this though; Trump has backpedaled so much lately that you would think that he is training for the Tour De France.

I just need to point out that he doesn’t care what he says. He will say anything if it gets him exposure. And to get more bang for his buck, he will just change his mind the next day.

He made a big deal that he was self-funding his campaign, saying that unlike other candidates he was beholden to nobody but now that he is facing a difficult campaign, presumably against Clinton, he is now at the Republican table begging for table scraps.

Well hosting a $25,000-plate dinner is not really table scraps but you get the idea.

In his latest about face, he is holding this fundraising dinner to keep the GOP happy. He doesn’t really want to take their money, but I guess they twisted his rubber arm, and his tiny fingers.

Bottom line is that nobody can trust what Trump says because he will say anything that pops into his vapid head.
