Charles River Ventures, a Silicon Valley tech venture capital firm, has updated its website homepage with the words “F*ck Trump.”
The firm’s blog post read, “Donald Trump’s anti-immigration statements are diametrically opposed to the core values of entrepreneurship. And at CRV, we’ve had enough.”
“The CRV partnership — united and unanimous — rejects Donald Trump’s candidacy for President of the United States,” the blog continues. “CRV is a firm of immigrants. Our 9 partners come from 7 countries and speak 8 different languages.”
CRV’s focus is mostly on highlighting pro-immigration initiatives that have transcended across the firm. The firm is even launching a program to cover the immigrations costs for any of the firm’s founders.
“If you feel you fit the bill, come share your stories and your ideas. If you are for building walls and stopping change, stay away. Bigots need not apply,” the group stated.
When asked about potentially alienating customers, CRV partner George Zachary responded “We weren’t focused on that risk, but we don’t really care about that risk. Threatening immigrants coming in to this country — a country of refugees — is very scary to me.”
CRV has partnered with many tech-based companies, including Twitter and Zendesk.
