Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year, is a festival celebrated at the turn of the lunisolar Chinese calendar for 15 days until the next full moon. During this period many people are off work, visit extended family, clean their homes thoroughly and surround themselves with lucky symbols for good fortune in the coming year.
