The Clinton-Trump saga continues with supporters becoming more and more passionate about this presidential election. Trump backers won't hold back on defending the Republican nominee and Clinton supporters will stop at nothing to point out any mishaps in Trump's campaign.
Like every other presidential election, there is a major focus on the American worker and both candidates have taken every opportunity to state that they will help the average hard-working American.
But, let's see which type of worker is actually backing (and bankrolling) each campaign. In July, it was reported the Democratic nominee raised $386.1 million while Donald Trump raised $94.2 million. Where is the money coming from?
Based on data compiled by Statista and Forbes, Clinton seems to attracting dough from attorneys while real estate tycoon Trump is getting support from fellow business leaders and CEOs.
"Clinton graduated from Yale Law School and she has received extensive backing from attorneys who have contributed almost $25 million to her campaign. Homemakers have also donated about $7 million while consultants have given at least 5.3 million. Donald Trump’s record as a business mogul is reflected in his financial support, the majority of which comes from business leaders including CEOs and executives," wrote Niall McCarthy, Statista data journalist and Forbes contributor.
