After calling GOP frontrunner Donald Trump a “goddamn airhead” publicly earlier this month, billionaire Mark Cuban is at it again; and, this time, he’s taking a jab at The Donald’s lack of Twitter-savviness.
The Dallas Mavericks owner told CNBC that Trump is “horrible” with the social media outlet. “He doesn’t understand twitter whatsoever,” he said on CNBC’s “Squawk Alley.”
“If he was really into social media, he’d be using every other social media source as well.”
But Trump must be doing something right if he has managed to gather quite a following – 8.27 million to be precise. According to Twittercounter.com, the Donald’s account is actually ranked 240th from all Twitter accounts, just under AlJazeera Arabic (ironic!) and Channing Tatum.
By contrast, Cuban has only managed to rack in 5.09 million followers on his Twitter account. Despite this, the self-made billionaire still doesn’t think the Donald should be considered a real tweeter.
“I think Twitter found him more than he found Twitter,” he said. “I love to mess with Donald on Twitter because he doesn’t get it. He doesn’t understand how Twitter works but he knows it’s the new PR news wire and he uses it as a new distribution opportunity.”
