Yup, it’s true. Combine online dating and an outspoken billionaire presidential candidate, what do you get?
That’s right. A dating app for GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump supporters.
According to MarketWatch, the app is not yet available for download on Apple and Android devices but has already attracted over 30 members. The app is expected to launch this week. However, the popularity on social media is growing – @Trumpsinglescom has managed to gather over 27,500 followers on Twitter and over 5,000 likes on Facebook.
So why the discrepancy in social media popularity versus actual users?
“Some people told me that they want to support me and will do everything they can, but they don’t want their face on something that is Trump-related. It’s not that people don’t like him. They are afraid of how they will be perceived for supporting him,” Trumpsingles co-founder David Goss told MW.
To me, the real question is: is it really that hard to find love if you support the outspoken, backpedaling, racist, delusional candidate that is Trump?
Ok, ya, maybe…
Goss even told MW that he, “heard a story of a girl on a date who said she supported Trump and the guy got up and walked out, leaving her with the bill.”
Goss, along with co-founder Tim Burks, both back the billionaire real estate mogul, and want to offer this app to Trump aficionados. But, everything comes with a price.
Although the app is free, Goss & Burk need to make ends meet. “You’ll only be able to send one message a day if you don’t pay for the site.” Goss told MW. “You can pay $4.95 for the month. Or, if you pay for six months, you get one month free.”
