In an interview on 1210 WPHT radio in Philadephia, Donald Trump Jr. told host Chris Stigmal that the media has helped Hillary Clinton by letting things slide on her lies.
“The media has been her number one surrogate in this,” he said on Wednesday. “Without the media, this wouldn’t even be a contest, but the media has built her up. They’ve let her slide on every in-discrepancy, on every lie, on every DNC game trying to get Bernie Sanders out of this thing. If Republicans were doing that, they’d be warming up the gas chamber right now.”

These words spread like wildfire on social media, as many believe that he was referring to the gas chambers Nazi Germany used during the Holocaust to kill millions of Jews and others.
Everybody knows to what @DonaldJTrumpJr was referring when he mentioned ‘a gas chamber,’ and there’s only one word for it: deplorable.

Sarah Bard, Clinton’s director of Jewish outreach, said "offensive" references to the Holocaust are "never acceptable, especially from a presidential campaign.
The comment shows how "insensitive, divisive, and reckless the Trump campaign is," Bard continued.
Trump Jr. reportedly denied that he was making a reference to Nazi gas chambers to NBC News, arguing instead that he was referring to corporal punishment.
Trump Jr defense of his "gas chamber" remark: he was making a joke about capital punishment, not the Holocaust. This is not a good defense.
