It has been announced this morning, that Donald Trump’s campaign chairman, Paul Manafort has resigned.
“This morning Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign,” Trump said in a statement.
“I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today, and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process. Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success.”
The resignation happened a few days after Trump had a major shakeup in his campaign staff, recently hiring Stephen Bannon as campaign chief executive and Kellyanne Conway as campaign manager.
Change is always good — especially after the increasing scrutiny about his work for a pro-Russian political party in Ukraine. Yikes!
Here is what others are saying about the resignation.
Paul Manafort resigns as chairman of Trump's campaign for no reason, NOT because he committed federal crimes secretly working for Ukraine.

And exit .@PaulManafort. Maybe he'll get a new job with Bashar al-Assad who seems better at staying on message.

Paul Manafort resigned this morning as Trump's campaign chairman. He got off the sinking ship and into a Russian lifeboat.
