Election focus has now shifted to the next set of primaries taking place in a series of Northeastern states – known as the “Acela primary.”
Voters will hit the polls Tuesday in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton continue to dominate in their respective parties, but this round of votes could be a game-changer if other candidates can gain support. However, it will be an uphill battle for Republican candidates Ted Cruz and John Kasich, as well as Democrat Bernie Sanders.
As CNN recapped, Trump continues to lead on the Republican side with a recent poll suggesting he could win 45% support in Pennsylvania, the most important of the states voting on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sen. Cruz and Gov. Kasich are likely to garner 37% and 24%, respectively.
Meanwhile, Sanders is coming off of a big loss in New York last week with Clinton taking in 58% of the votes.

Fun fact: Tuesday's primaries were coined “Acela primary” after the high-speed Amtrak train running between Washington and Boston.
