Will The Real Trump Please Stand Up...

Okay it’s time for my weekly commentary bashing Trump… I admit that I extremely critical of Donald Trump’s candidacy as U.S. President because he has created a campaign of massive negativity and is trying to appeal to the voters’ base emotions of fear and hate. I find it cathartic to criticize his policies as his ideas are unrealistic and dangerous to the U.S. and global economies. It has now been revealed that as he continues to dominate the Republican primary race it is nothing but a show. He has turned the campaign for the country’s highest office into a stupid circus sideshow and I think U.S. voters deserve so much better.

Earlier today Associated Press published a story on a recording of closed-door meeting between Trump’s campaign team and party leaders. According to Trump’s top aid Paul Manafort, Trump is putting on a show. His rhetoric is nothing more than a sideshow barker trying to attract people’s attention. “"When he's out on the stage, when he's talking about the kinds of things he's talking about on the stump, he's projecting an image that's for that purpose," Manafort said in the API article. "You'll start to see more depth of the person, the real person. You'll see a real different guy," he said. Okay so the question I have is when does the show end? When do we truly get to judge how Trump will act when he is faced with a leadership decision? So far I’m not impressed with how he handles adversity. Anytime he is faced with a question or situation that he doesn’t like he starts to whine and complain like a petulant child. That is not presidential but it makes for great TV. Even in Trumps own words he isn’t being very presidential. According to the Article he told a crowd in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania that he doesn’t know if he is ready to be presidential.  “At some point, I'm going to be so presidential that you people will be so bored," he said, We with all the garbage that we have had to put up with, I’m ready for some boredom so I can truly judge who will be the best leader for this country.
