Donate to the Clinton Foundation…For Top Secret Clearance

A slew of State Department emails were released and show just how many strings Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton can pull in Washington.

According to reports by ABC News, Clinton is under scrutiny as the emails reveal how a major Clinton Foundation donor made it on a “sensitive” government intelligence board despite his lack of experience.

What’s more, the Clinton staff’s handling of the situation once media started looking into the matter was questionable, the emails further revealed.

“[A]fter inquiries from ABC News, the Clinton staff sought to ‘protect the name’ of the Secretary, ‘stall’ the ABC News reporter and ultimately accept the resignation of the donor just two days later,” ABC wrote.

The man in question is Rajiv K. Fernando, who has allegedly donated at least $250,000 to the Clinton Foundation and was later appointed to the nuclear strategy board, the emails showed.

“A prolific fundraiser for Democratic candidates and contributor to the Clinton Foundation, who later traveled with Bill Clinton on a trip to Africa, Rajiv K. Fernando’s only known qualification for a seat on the International Security Advisory Board (ISAB) was his technological know-how,” ABC reported. “The Chicago securities trader, who specialized in electronic investing, sat alongside an august collection of nuclear scientists, former cabinet secretaries and members of Congress to advise Hillary Clinton on the use of tactical nuclear weapons and on other crucial arms control issues.”

According to media reports, all members of this board obtain top secret clearance.

The emails were given to ABC News by Citizens United, a conservative political group, which obtained the data under the Freedom of Information Act after two years in the courts.

We’re going to have to wait to see how this scandal will unfold but all I can say is that if the Hill becomes prez, I’d want to be on her friend list. At least I know I’ll have a job lined up.
