During Bastille Day celebrations today in France, it has been reported that a truck struck a crowd of people celebrating their Independence Day, killing over 70 people and injuring over 100 spectators.
The driver of the truck, still unidentified, has been shot dead at the scene. Local police called the incident “an attack” and have urged people in the area to remain indoors.
The incident took place on the famous Promenade des Anglais during a firework display.
