Wall St. Elite Calls for Trump Presidency

Trump-mania continues now that he has pushed both opponents Sen. Ted Cruz & Gov. John Kasich out of the race. And, according to bond guru, Jeff Gundlach, he may even beat Democrats too.

In an interview with CNBC, the DoubleLine CEO said he thinks Donald Trump is going to win the election. “I think it’s important for investors to deal with reality,” he said Wednesday from the Sohn Investment Conference.

“The reality is, I believe, and I maybe I’m wrong – I’m wrong 30% of the time….I think trump’s going to win.”

A Trump presidency would entail a “very large deficit” for the country, similar to former President Ronald Reagan, the billionaire hedge fund manage continued, adding that the Donald is “very comfortable with debt.”

“He’s more like Reagan than people think,” Gundlach said. “Reagan was a debt-based economic guy, and I think Trump will be. It will probably look like its working at first [but] the question is, will the boost in the economy from infrastructure projects offset the potential drag from shrinking global trade?”

Speaking of infrastructure…Will Trump build that famed ‘wall’ along the southern border?

"Donald will have to at least try to build a wall, at least try to do something with jobs, and try to help the median America. How far he'll go, I don't know," Gundlach said. "He can't say 'I was just kidding.'"
